Just found a review of Apple Jacks on the blog Foodstuff Finds. 
Here’s an excerpt that made my heart smile:

“One of the isles that captures my imagination is the foreign section… They even have an American import section where you can buy Chocolate Lucky Charms, crazy flavoured poptarts, all the American chocolates you can imagine, tinned pumpkin, cake mixes – the list just goes on.”

1. “Crazy flavoured poptarts” most certainly refers to any flavors besides the literal FOUR which are typically available in the UK.  Crazy like raspberry and wild berry and brown sugar cinnamon.  BLESS.

2. This sounds EXACTLY LIKE ME, only in reverse, as going through the UK aisle at World Market is like Christmas for me.  Jammie Dodgers, Chocolate Hobnobs, Cadbury Flakes, Twiglets, McVities Digestives… I’ll tell you what, it’s a good freaking thing I live on the side of the ocean that charges almost $6 for a tube of Chocolate Hobnobs, because if they were cheaper I would literally never eat anything else.

The review goes on to describe Apple Jacks in the most thorough - and favorable! - way imaginable.  I find it hilariously tragic that there are probably at least 5 places within three miles of my house where I could go right now and buy as many boxes of Apple Jacks as I want, and I don’t even like them, and yet to buy frakking Chocolate Hobnobs I have to make a special trip across the city.  Apple Jack loving people of the UK, if I could trade circumstances with you, I absolutely would.  Except not about the Poptarts, you’re on your own there because I am not giving up the wild berry ones, they are purple.

I love you guys, I really do.
Hobnobs are described on the package as “nobbly oaty biscuits.”
